United Way and Tyler Automotive car challenge winner to be announced Thursday

On Thursday, someone from Southwest Michigan will try to start a car to win a car.

Last week, 10 finalists were randomly selected for United Way of Southwest Michigan and Tyler Automotive’s Win-A-Car sweepstakes, with the grand winner being announced this Thursday at 6pm at Tyler in Stevensville. Each finalist will randomly select a key, and whoever can start the car on display, will win a two-year lease on a sub-compact vehicle from Tyler.

“We want to thank Tyler Automotive for this amazing incentive they brought to the table this campaign season,” states Anna Murphy, President of United Way of Southwest Michigan. “As this was our 75th year serving Southwest Michigan, we really wanted to provide the community with something fun and exciting, and Tyler stepped up big for us.”

United Way of Southwest Michigan’s annual campaign concluded on January 31. To help incentivize the campaign, United Way partnered with Tyler to provide a car challenge. Donors who gave $156 (or $3 per week) were automatically entered into a drawing to win the two-year lease.

“We were so happy to partner with United Way on this incentive. It’s going to make for a lot of fun this Thursday. We welcome anyone from the community who would like to come and check it out,” adds Chris Tyler, Owner of Tyler Automotive. “We hope this incentive has helped to raise awareness for what it is that United Way does for Southwest Michigan.”

The event will begin at 5pm, and is open to the public. Light hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be available. There will be a business card drawing open to the public for a chance to win three oil changes at Tyler. This drawing will take place shortly before 6pm.

Zack East, and 98.3 The Coast, will be broadcasting live from Tyler, beginning at 4:30pm. And United Way of Southwest Michigan will be live-streaming the reveal from the United Way Facebook page.
