  • Basic instructions about the task(s) which you will be performing

  • Friendly environment in which to serve

Please keep in mind that non-profit organizations often operate with minimal staff. They rely on volunteers to help serve their constituents in a friendly and respectful manner.

Volunteers bring tremendous value to these organizations and your energy and enthusiasm help them serve more people.

Your timeliness, open communication and respect for others are key to an enjoyable and productive experience all around.

When you sign up to volunteer you have committed your time to the organization and the people they serve. If you are unable to fulfill your volunteer role it is your responsibility to find a replacement for your position so that the work the organization needs to accomplish can be done as planned.

When volunteers fail to show up or perform the tasks asked of them the organization and the people they serve suffer.
