United Way is committed to advancing the common good by focusing on Education, Income and Health - the building blocks for a good life. The basic things that we all need for a good life: a quality education that leads to a stable job, income that can support a family through retirement, and good health. Along with those building blocks we have maintained Basic Needs - because emergencies happen and United Way is there to provide a hand up.

Funding:

United Way works to ensure crucial services are available to people in our community through annual funding to 21 local partner agencies. In addition, we provide funding to multiple other projects and programs throughout Berrien County.

Leadership:

But it is more than funding. Through its constant contact with agencies throughout the community, United Way can identify emerging needs and bring the right people to the table to find solutions and create impact.

Accountability:

United Way carefully evaluates partner agencies. Community volunteers monitor and review agencies to make sure our dollars are being used to make lasting changes in the community.

Community Partner:

United Way is at the table when there is a community issue that needs to be addressed. We work with other funders, agencies and community leaders to help solve problems.
