Below is a list of volunteer opportunities with Girls on the Run. Please fill out this form and select as many opportunities as you would like to participate in.

5K Volunteer Positions

The following are volunteers for the Girls on the Run 5K event on May 31 at the Berrien County Youth Fair

Volunteer Positions

The following positions are longer-term volunteer opportunities

 

 

Monitors all volunteer opportunities to ensure they are adequately staffed, ensures proper volunteer paperwork is completed, confirms with volunteer the date/time/location/dress, etc. of each opportunity. Works with United Way staff to post opportunity, handles thank you or acknowledgment post opportunity.
May 1 - 31 (5 - 10 Hours per week). One person needed.

  

 

Monitors all volunteer opportunities to ensure they are adequately staffed, ensures proper volunteer paperwork is completed, confirms with volunteer the date/time/location/dress, etc. of each opportunity. Works with United Way staff to post opportunity, handles thank you or acknowledgment post opportunity.
December 10 - April 30 (2-5 Hours per week). One person needed.

  

 

 

Assist the 5k volunteer coordinator in staffing the 5k event. Communicate with volunteers and groups, ensures proper volunteer paperwork is completed, confirms with volunteer the date/time/location/dress, etc. of each opportunity. APRIL 1 - MAY 31 (2-10 hours per week). One person needed.

 

 

Enter 5K registration form data into a spreadsheet. Must own a computer and have great knowledge of Excel Spreadsheets. POSITION FILLED

  

 

 

 

Volunteer Opportunities

One day opportunities

 

Drive “try on shoes” to various schools in Berrien County. Assist schools when sizing girls for their shoes. Each day is in a specific zone in Berrien County. Must attend the January 19th training* at Sylvester Elementary in Berrien Springs, must have reliable transportation, must be able to lift 50# must be able to kneel. One day each date. 10 volunteers needed.

 

 

Assist the GOTR program manager in preparation, set up, greeting, sign in pictures, training elements, and tear down on the dates listed. One volunteer needed at each session.

 

 

Packing coaches boxes, sorting t-shirts, and building curriculum and policy binders. 25 volunteers needed.

 

 

Sort shoes according to each school's order. 8 volunteers needed.

 

 

As school representatives arrive, assist them in finding their supplies, load their car. Must be able to lift 30#. 8 volunteers needed.

 

 

POSITIONS FILLED! NO ADDITIONAL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Sort 5K t-shirts, pack race bags, sort race bibs, etc. 20 volunteers needed.

 

 

Assist with collecting all GOTR supplies from each site, coaches bins, curriculum, etc. 8 volunteers needed.
