Mary Belski Receives 2008 Margaret B. Upton Volunteer Leadership Award

Mary Belski, of Benton Harbor, was named today as the 2007 recipient of the Margaret B. Upton Volunteer Leadership Award. The honor was presented during the Volunteer Center of Southwest Michigan's National Volunteer Week Luncheon, held at the Grand Upton Hall at Lake Michigan College.

2007-2008 Community Investment Grants

Benton Harbor, MI: United Way of Southwest Michigan awarded $25,580 to communities across Berrien County for programs defined as important by their individual community. Community Investment Grants were awarded in Harbor Country, Berrien Springs/Eau Claire, Coloma/Watervliet, Bridgman, and Buchanan/Galien areas.

Good Fellows and United Way Team Up for Grants

Benton Harbor, MI: The United Way of Southwest Michigan and the Good Fellows Fund will award two $5,000 grants to help give babies their own beds and prevent bullying in area middle schools.
