Live United Days for Education will be the week of October 19, 2009 and offers community volunteers the opportunity to go into classrooms in your area to read to and work with elementary and pre-school school children.
Live United Days take the place of the annual Day of Caring. Instead of one day of community projects, Live United Days allows volunteers to select their volunteer activity among four events around United Way's Community Impact areas of Education, Income, Health and Basic Needs. The change was made to be more convenient for employers and create more impact in the community.
