Welcome!

Volunteer to Coach

Welcome to Girls on the Run & Girls On Track of Berrien County - a life-changing, non-profit prevention programs for young girls. The Girls On The Run (GOTR) curriculum is for girls in 3rd - 5th grades, Girls On Track (GOT) is taught to girls in 6th - 8th grades.

Our Mission:

We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.

Our Vision:

We envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.

Girls on the Run combines training for a 5K (3.1 miles) running event with healthy living education. Our programs provide the opportunity for:

  • Increased self-esteem through health education,
  • Life skills development,
  • Mentoring relationships with trained adult volunteers, and
  • Physical exercise
all of which are accomplished through an active collaboration with the girls, their parents, schools, volunteers, staff, and the community.

Girls on the Run of Berrien County is an Affiliate Council of Girls on the Run International, which has a network of over 186 locations across the United States and Canada.  Each year over 80,000 girls participate in Girls On The Run internationally.
