Please remember to bring the following items with you when you visit one of the tax preparation sites:  Valid picture ID, such as a Driver’s License or Michigan State ID  A copy of last year’s tax return (2009), if you have one  Social Security numbers of everyone listed on the return. Social Security cards are necessary to ensure the information is copied correctly onto the tax return  W-2 forms from all 2009 jobs  1099-G form, if you or anyone in your household received unemployment insurance benefits at any time in 2009  1099-INT form, if you received bank account interest income in 2009  Any statements received from a mortgage company during 2009, or name and address of your landlord and the amount of rent paid  Property tax receipts or bills of taxes paid in 2009  IRS notices or letters sent to you or someone in your household during 2009  For the Home Heating Tax Credit Heating bills for 2009; or contact your utility provider for amount spent in 2009  If you have an Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN), bring your ITIN card sent to you by the IRS  If you are claiming a First Time Homebuyers Credit or a Long-Time Resident Credit, bring a copy of your closing statement to be filed with your return  If you are claiming a Residential energy credit for work done on your home, bring your invoices  If you are claiming a New Motor Vehicle credit, please bring your invoice to prove that it was purchased after February 16, 2009  If you are a divorced or separated parent, and you are the non-custodial parent of an eligible child who is a dependent, please bring a Form 8332 signed by the custodial parent  Routing number and account number from your bank for your refund to be directly and quickly deposited in your account. If you don’t have a bank account at this time, a representative of a local bank at some of the sites that will assist you to open an account for this purpose  If you have received assistance from the Department of Human Services in 2008, bring your annual Department of Human Services statement  Receipts for child care expenses
